Structure and Function

Both ends are external threads (which can be understood as "external threads"), used to connect two pipe fittings, equipment interfaces, etc. with internal threads (" internal threads "), playing a role in directly connecting pipelines, extending pipelines or converting interfaces. For example, in a hydraulic system, two sections of hydraulic oil pipes and joints with internal threads can be connected to ensure the oil passage is through. In the water pipe system, two pipe fittings with inner threaded joints are connected to extend the waterway.

Common scenarios

Hydraulic system: As you mentioned earlier, in the system related to hydraulic rubber hose couplings, if the equipment interfaces and pipeline couplings have internal threads, they can be connected with matching threads to ensure the transmission path of hydraulic oil.

Plumbing pipes: In the installation of water pipes in households and industries, connect the inner thread ends of faucets, valves, water pipes, etc., and adjust the length and layout of the pipes.

Material and Specification

The materials are diverse, including stainless steel (corrosion-resistant, suitable for hydraulic, chemical and other scenarios), copper (used in plumbing and other scenarios with slightly lower requirements for corrosion resistance, cost or heat conduction), carbon steel (general industrial scenarios, low cost but prone to rust), etc.

In terms of specifications, the thread specifications follow the corresponding standards (such as the commonly used American pipe thread NPT, metric thread, etc. for hydraulics), and the dimensions range from several minutes (such as 1/8", 1/4") to several inches (such as 1", 2"), matching different pipe diameters and flow requirements.
