Protective function

The "iron sheet" cover outside hydraulic equipment and pipelines can prevent dust and bumps, and protect precision components such as hydraulic valve groups and pumps. It is like the metal protective shell of a hydraulic station in a factory, which is made by bending and welding thin steel plates (commonly known as "iron sheets").

Sometimes, the outer layer of hydraulic rubber hoses is wrapped with metal iron sheets (similar to armor) to enhance their resistance to compression and wear. This is commonly seen in high-pressure rubber hoses of mining machinery and can withstand the impact of crushed stones and heavy objects.

Auxiliary structure

In simple hydraulic tooling, iron sheets can be used as temporary sealing gaskets (in emergency or low-pressure scenarios). Although they are not as good as professional sealing parts, they can temporarily stop leaks and maintain pressure.

When installing hydraulic pipelines, the "clamps" of iron shears assist in fixing hoses and hard pipes, and in combination with cable ties and bolts, make the pipeline layout more regular.
